Interior Design Intern – Olson Kundig- Seattle, WA

About the Interiors Internship Program

Olson Kundig offers a six-month paid interior design internship to interior design students and interior design school graduates from around the world. The goal of Olson Kundig’s Interior Design Internship Program is to provide experience and exposure to the many facets of the interior design practice. Interns may assist project teams and gain experience at different phases of projects by utilizing their skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or hand sketching to produce working and presentation drawings. In addition they may assist with research and selection of furniture and finishes.

Interiors interns may have the opportunity to attend construction site visits, in-office speaker series, weekly design critiques, and Interiors Studio meetings. Interns have the opportunity to meet vendors, organize and attend vendor presentations, and maintain the sample library.

Sales Coordinator – COI – Seattle, WA

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Sales Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for coordinating projects of varying size and complexity. This position works closely with designated sales associate(s) and their customers to secure opportunities and provide excellent customer service from beginning to completion of multiple projects. The SC interacts with team members, vendors and furniture manufacturers to develop quotes, facilitate deliveries, communicate with design and installation teams, as well as performing other administrative duties. This position has a direct impact on potential contract furniture sales through the timely and accurate responsiveness to both internal and external customers.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Generate accurate product and service pricing by using in house technology as well as manufacturer and manufacturer representative resources.
• Create complete and accurate customer proposals in a variety of formats.
• Place project orders in a timely manner.
• Review vendor acknowledgements for accuracy and submit change order requests as necessary.
• Maintain a complete project file with all pertinent and required information relating to the orders
• Follow up with vendors to confirm order and shipping status.
• Communicate status of projects to both customers and team members via project status reports.
• Track order shipments with freight carriers.
• Submit freight claims as necessary, monitoring progress to ensure timely resolution.

JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Comfortable speaking with Customers and Vendors – Professional and polite
• Detail oriented and accurate
• Computer expertise: Data entry and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills – Will be responsible for handling multiple tasks
• Experience working with multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Experience in commercial office furnishings and services is desirable
• Able to work in a team setting and independtly

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• AA Required
• BA desirable

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
• Reports directly to Lead Sales Coordinator Supervisor. Assists and works in conjunction with Sales Staff and others to facilitate smooth office operations.
