CallisonRTKL – Workplace Interior Designer (9-15 yrs. exp.) – Seattle, WA

CallisonRTKL seeks a senior Interior Designer with experience in project management, to join its’ Workplace practice group located in Seattle. As a senior Interior Designer at CRTKL, you will join a highly collaborative and creative team dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem solving. The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, detailed-oriented and a self-starting individual driven to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the management and/or documentation effort for Workplace interiors projects of varying sizes
  • Collaborates on all phases of the design process including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and construction document preparation
  • Generates project program documents, schedules, manages the finances and keep the project on schedule
  • Coordinates with consultants to meet overall project objectives
  • Manages client’s expectations, team communications, and consultant coordination
  • Supports business development, marketing efforts and proposal writing
  • Contributes to CRTKL’s office culture, including participation in office activities, initiatives, learning and mentoring programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or related design field from an accredited school
  • 9-15 years of experience as an interior designer or architect, with a focus on corporate interiors
  • Strong knowledge of the design process
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and Accounting software with knowledge of SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Ability to manage a single project or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly, both verbally and graphically
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
  • LEED accreditation preferred
